CO - cast on
BO - bind off
k - knit
p - purl
m1 - make one
k2tog - knit two together
p2tog - purl two together
st st - stockinette stitch

STRAWBERRY
You need:
needles 3 mm
red and green yarn
Pattern:
CO 4 sts using red yarn

Row 1: p

Row 2: (k1, m1) X 4 ( 8 sts)

Row 3: p

Row 4: (k1, m1) X 8 (16sts)

Row 5: p

Row 6: k7, m1, k1, m1, k1, k7 (18st)


Row 7: k

Row 8: p8, m1, p1, p1, k1,p8 (20st)

Row 9: k

Row 10: p9, m1, p1, m1, p1, k9 (22st)

Row 11: k

Row 12: p10, m1, p1, m1, p1, p10 (24st)

Row 13: p

Row 14: k11, m1, k1, m1, k1, k11 (26st)

Row 15: p

Row 16: k12, m1, k1, m1, k1, k12 (28st)

Row 17: p

Row 18: (k1, k2tog) to the end of the row

Thread the yarn through remaining stitches. Leave a long end to sew.
Stuff, using black yarn embroider black dots.



STALK:
Using green yarn CO 3 sts and start making an i-cord, long 20 cm. Make a tassel at the end or continue to make a leaf:

CO 3 sts, using green yarn


Row 1:  p (3sts)


Row 2: k1, m1, k1 (4sts)


Row 3: p (4sts)


Row 4: (k1, m1) X 4 (8sts)


Row 5: p (8sts)


Row 6:   k1, (k1, m1) X 2, k2, (k1, m1) X 2, k1 (12sts)


Rows 7-11: st st, start with p (5 rows)


Row 12:  k1, k2tog, ssk, k2, k2tog, ssk, k1 (8sts)


Row 13: p (8sts)


Row 14: (k2tog) X 4 (4sts)


Row 15: p2tog, p2 (3sts)


Row 16: BO


Sew the stalk to the strawberry. Make leaves from fabric and sew it around the stalk. Or you may embroider leaves on the strawberry, using green yarn.
