You need:
-3mm needles
-acrylic yarn in light orange, white and light pink
Pattern:
CO 18 sts using
orange yarn
Rows 1-3: st st,
start with p (3 rows)
Row 4: (k1, m1) to
the end of the row (36 sts)
Row 5: p
Row 6: (k2, m1) to
the end of the row (54 sts)
Row 7: p
Row 8: (k3, m1) to
the end of the row (72 sts)
Rows 9-11: st st, start
and finish with p (3 rows)
Row 12: p
Row 13: p
(now you may change
the color if you prefer the rattle in two colors)
Row 14-15: st st, start with k (3 rows)
Decrease:
Row 1 (WS): (p2, p2tog)
to the end of the row (54 sts)
Row 2: k
Row 3: (p1, p2tog) to
the end of the row (36 sts)
Row 4: k
Row 5: (p2tog) to
the end of the row (18 sts)
Rows 6-8: st st, start
with k (3 rows)
Bind off.
Cut the yarn, leave
a long end. Close the seams using mattress stitch, then stuff with fiberfill.

CO 5 sts, using white yarn

Row 2: (k1, m1) to the end of the row (10 sts)

Row 4: (k2, m1) to the end of the row (14 sts)
