You need:

p – purl
CO – cast on
BO – bind off
m1 – make one
ssk - slip, slip, knit
st st - stockinette stitch
k2tog - knit two together
Head:
CO 12 sts
Rows 1-7: st st, start with purl.
Row 8: (k2tog) to the end (6 sts)
Row 9: p
Cut long end of yarn, thread through sts, close with
mattress stitch.
Frog’s
eyes
Make two.
CO 6 sts:
Row 1: p
Row 2: k
Row 3: bind off
Cut long end of yarn, fold it in the middle and sew to
the head.
Ears
(cat, lion, pig, bear, chick’s beak)
Make two.
CO 3 sts using white yarn.
Rows 1-3: knit
Row 4: k2tog, k1(2 sts)
Row 6: knit
Row 7: k2tog (1 sts)
Cut long end of yarn, sew to the head.
